Trust Information

Note for applicants

Shadowing
If you are required as part of your medical degree to complete a shadowing placement in the Trust where you will be first working you should contact the relevant person: please click here.    You should also inform your medical school of your shadowing placement in order that they can ensure the Trust is funded for your placement: Click here for a letter that you can print off to give to your medical school.  Oxford medical students should liaise directly with their medical school regarding shadowing placements.

When does my post start?
Your F1 post will start on 31 July.  Your employing Trust may require you to attend earlier for induction (please click here for more information).

Contacts
Please remember that medical staffing departments are very busy at this time of year, more so this year, because of the new ST recruitment processes.  Please try and refrain from contacting them unless it is important.  Medical Staffing will contact you in due course to complete the appointments process and provide you with information packs which should answer most of the common queries (about accommodation, etc).  Click here for contact details.

Change in your contact details
You must inform medical staffing if your contact details (as on your online application changes in order that they can contact you.  The Foundation School Manager will contact you in due course to ask you to provide an email address that you intend to use for the entire duration of the foundation programme (i.e. not your university email account).

Withdrawal from the Foundation School or a Programme

In applying via the online Foundation Programme application, applicants agree to abide by the rules of the system, including complying with Foundation School and Trust requirements, and taking up the programme to which they are allocated. Unilateral withdrawal from a programme will be viewed very seriously. Applicants are reminded of the GMC requirements in relation to probity and professional conduct. Applicants who feel they have valid reasons for withdrawing from the School or a programme should contact the Foundation School at the earliest opportunity. The School recognises that trainees’ circumstances do change, and endeavours to offer assistance and support in such cases.
